BOND May 15, 1931- May 15, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Troy Charlie Bond, age 81, of 207 Wellington Court, passed away on May 15, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Alapaha, GA, he was the son of the late Charlie Bond and Thelma Stephens Bond. Troy proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was also in the Navy Reserve. He worked for many years as a project manager and an electrical engineer in the construction industry. He is survived by his son, Tony Bond of Fort Wayne, IN; a daughter, Leesa Bond of Anderson; two grandchildren, Leslie Dixon and her husband Joel of Bentonville, AR, Justin Bond and his wife Mollie of Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Emmett, Haley, Brenya, Dylan, Devon and Elizabeth; and a sister, Myrtle Combs of Atmore, AL. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his spouse, Elline Jones Bond; a grandson, Chris Haley; a sister, Etherie Coursey; and two brothers, Horace Bond and Buddy Bond. The Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military honors. Reverend Charles Stevens will officiate. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
