TRUE HIXJANUARY 15, 1927 - June 16, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. True Oliver Hix, age 80, of the Magnolia's Assisted Living and formerly of 5111 Highway 187 passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Magnolia's.Born in Oconee County, South Carolina on January 15, 1927 a son of the late Robert Dendy Hix and Lula Standridge Hix. Mr. Hix retired from Lafrance Industries and was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church, where he had previously served in a number of capacities. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.Mr. Hix is survived by his son, Harvey Hix and his wife, Betty of Anderson; a daughter, Sandra Mullinax and her husband, Dale of Anderson; a special friend of eleven years & extended family member, Marjorie Cleveland of Lavonia, GA; four sisters: Vergie Westbrooks and Mattie Saylors both of Anderson, Verleen Alexander of Westminster and Ruth Rice of Seneca; six grandchildren: Ashley & Amanda Mullinax, Andy Hix & Angela Hix Youell, and Scott Hix & Lisa Hix Mahaffey.In addition to his parents, Mr. Hix was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Cole Hix; a son, Stephen Oliver Hix; four brothers: Joe, Neville, J.L., and James Henry Hix; and one sister, Mary Williams.The Funeral Service will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, June 18, 2007 at Mount Tabor Baptist Church with the Reverend Danny Gray and the Reverend Jack E. Mahaffey officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at Mount Tabor Baptist Church on Monday, June 18, 2007 from 3:30pm until 4:30pm.
