Greenway, 78, formerly of 112 Haynie Road, Anderson, SC, died, Saturday, September 01, 2007 at Care Partners Hospice in Asheville, NC. Born in Iva, he was the son of the late Lindsey Alexander Greenway and Lessie Tyner Greenway. Mr. Truman was a United States Navy veteran and was a retired textile worker. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher. Surviving are his daughter, Dale Messer and her husband Norman of Rocky Point, NC, sons, Tony Greenway and his wife Cathey of Asheville, NC, Tim Greenway and his wife Missy of Asheville, NC, Michael Greenway and his wife Sharen of Wilmington, NC, and Donnie Greenway of Anderson, SC; step-sons, Billy J. Hanks and James Hanks both of Anderson, SC; step-daughter Bobbie Jean Wicker of Anderson, SC; a sister, Imogene Scoggins of Lowndesville, SC; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren and sixteen step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Greenway was preceded in death by his first wife, Lula Lee Hill Greenway and his second wife, Allie Hanks Greenway. Two sisters are also predeceased. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 3, 2007 at 11:00 am in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Sam Chasteen. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2007, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will be at 112 Haynie Road, Anderson, SC.
