Truman David Roberts, 71, of Pelzer, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Born on April 23, 1955, in Pelzer, SC, he was the son of the late Truman Roberts and late Louise Lindley Roberts. David dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community. After a long and honorable career in law enforcement, he retired from the Williamston Police Department. His commitment to public service did not end there; he continued to serve the city for another 10 years in the maintenance department. He was a true public servant at heart, always dependable and ready to help.

While David was a self-proclaimed homebody who cherished the comfort of his own home, his greatest joy came from his family. He deeply loved his children and grandchildren and truly enjoyed every moment he spent surrounded by them.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances "Fran" McGee Roberts; one brother; and one sister.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy and is survived by his precious children: his son, Samuel Lee Roberts; and his daughters, Jennifer Roberts LeCroy (Matt) and Catherine Roberts Gunnells (Tyler). He is also survived by his six cherished grandchildren and one sister.
