VALDA MAE HUTCHINSON SHEALY October 13, 1913- April, 13, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Valda Mae "Moni" Hutchinson Shealy, age 98, wife of the late Harry Clifton Shealy, passed away April 13, 2012, under the care of Ark Hospice at Exalted Health Care in Iva, SC. Mrs. Shealy was born October 13, 1913 on an Ohoopee River cotton farm near Adrian, GA. She was the fifth child (of eight) and first daughter of the late Meldrim and Ada Hutchinson. From her humble beginnings, Valda grew to be a proud and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by two grandchildren, Kandra Stalnaker of the home and Kerry Stalnaker and his wife, Sandy of Anderson; 6 great-grandchildren, Jay, Amanda, Leah, Josh, Rebecca, and Kayce; 4 great-great-grandchildren, who called her "Moni": Raina June, Miranda, Steven Jr. and Kyleigh; special friends, neighbor, Hattie Lever and grandson-in-law, David Smith of Lake Seccession; one sister, Louise Branscomb of Florida; one half-sister, Charlaine Clutter; two half-brothers, Carl and Don Hutchinson, all of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shealy was preceded in death by her only child, Valda June Stalnaker Shealy and her beloved husband and fishing partner, Harry; five brothers, one sister, two half-brothers and one-half sister. A memorial road trip to Georgia is planned. A private Graveside Service was held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
