Valerie Lynn McGee, 54, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born February 27, 1971, at Rochester, NY, Valerie was one of four daughters of the late Jefferson McGee, Jr. and the late Dorothy "Dottie" Merz McGee.

Valerie worked in food services her entire working career. For many years she worked at Mama Penn's Restaurant and later with AnMed Health Center in the cafeteria. With her servant's heart, she loved helping others, whether serving food or caring for her grandchildren and other family members. Valerie had a positive attitude, was always very attentive to others, had the memory of an elephant, and could work circles around much younger people; characteristics that made her incredibly successful in her working career. At home she was much the same; loved caring for others, especially her grandchildren. She was a lover of animals, especially cats, and enjoyed riding horses.

Valerie leaves behind her children, Cameron McGee, Caleb Murdock and Kaylee Lopez; her pride and joy, grandchildren, Gunner McGee and Summer McGee; sisters, Shari Pazyck and April McGee; nephew, Tommy Pazyck; and nieces, Samantha Steele and Danielle Sanders.

In addition to her parents, Valerie was predeceased by a sister, Renee' McGee Sanders.
