Main Street Anderson, SC 29621 864-224-4343OBITUARYFLAG Mr. Varnel 'Mac' McIntosh October 1, 1926 - May 15, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Varnel 'Mac' McIntosh, age 80 of Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Flag Pond, TN on October 1, 1926, Mr. McIntosh was a son of the late Floyd McIntosh and Lula Smith McIntosh. He was retired from BASF and was a charter member of McDuffie Street Church of God, now River of Life Church of God. He was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his fianc'e, Virginia Bolt; daughter, Sherry Ramage and her husband, Bobby of Anderson, SC; brother, R. L. McIntosh of Lake Alfred, FL; sisters, Inice Warner of Lake Alfred, FL and Bernice Pope of Auburndale, FL; five grandchildren which includes a grandson, reared in the home, Kenny Clark of Seattle, WA; Lee Ayer of Anderson; James Clark of Spartanburg, SC; Brian Ramage of Anderson and Carmen Martin of Anderson. Eleven great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Addison McIntosh; a daughter, Elaine Phillips; two brothers, Charles McIntosh and L. C. McIntosh.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Ken Anderson and Steve Silvey officiating.
