Church Street, wife of the late Amos Alton Daniel, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at her residence.Born in Iva, SC on July 20, 1927, Mrs. Daniel was a daughter of the late Robert L. Arnold and Dezzie Smith Arnold. She was a life-long member of Good Hope Baptist Church and a member of Reba Wansley Sunday School Class. Mrs. Daniel was the owner and operator of Velma's Beauty Shop for over 40 years. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Daniel and wife, Amanda and Eddie 'Fred' Daniel; daughters, Jo Ann Waters and husband, Randy and Elaine 'Lanie' Brooks and husband, Mike; six grandchildren, Cindy Vickery and husband Phil of Greenwood, Kaurie Young and husband, Robert of Bradley, Chad Waters and wife, Kara of Anderson and John Waters and wife, Ashley of Charleston. Paul Brooks and Brenda of Greenwood and Aaron Brooks and wife, Candice of Anderson; nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Morgan and Grant Vickery, Rob and Karis Young, Jessie and Eric Waters and Avery Brooks and Kohen Brooks. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Claude S. Arnold.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 4:00 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church officiated by the Reverends Curtis Bundy, Tony Tilley and Jamie Duncan. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.The family will be at the residence. Flowers are optional.
