VELMA VICKERY MC COY March 5, 1919 - July 2, 2008ANDERSON, SCMrs. Velma Vickery McCoy, age 89, formerly of 507 Whitehall Road, wife of the late Henry Calvin McCoy, died Wednesday, July 02, 2008 at NHC of Anderson.Born in Hartwell, GA on March 5, 1919, Mrs. McCoy was a daughter of the late Minor Hardman Vickery and Ola Mae Vickery Vickery. She retired from textiles with 50 years of service and was a homemaker. She was a member of North Anderson Baptist Church, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Lynn McCoy of Pauline, SC and Sandra 'Sandi' V. McCoy of Anderson; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Bill Rigsby.The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.Flowers are optional.
