VERA DUNCAN June 19, 1920 - November 20, 2008 ANDERSON, SCMrs. Vera Elizabeth Wright Duncan, age 88 of 223 E. Benson Street, Apt. #33, Anderson, SC died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at her residence. Born in Townville, SC on June 19, 1920, Mrs. Duncan was the wife of the late Ernest David Duncan and the daughter of the late James Crayton Wright and Julia Ann Evans Wright. She retired from Orr-Lyons Mill and was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she attended the Senior Adult Sunday School class.She is survived by a sister, Nelle Wilson of Anderson, SC.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers, John Crayton Wright, Lonnie Cecil Wright and James Roy Wright and sisters, Willie Wright Duncan, Lorene Wright and Gladys Wright Crowe.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Gordon Taylor. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her sister, Nelle Wilson, 701 Autumn Oaks, Anderson, SC.Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church Building Fund, 404 Warner Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
