Jessie Lavera Wilder Farrow, age 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her home. Born December 3, 1938 in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lester and Mattie Belle Brackett Wilder. She was married for 59 years to Andrew Levi Farrow, Sr. until his death in 2015. Vera was a talented seamstress and did alterations for Modern Dry Cleaners for over 26 years. In her early days, she enjoyed bowling and was an accomplished cake decorator. In her later years, Vera enjoyed traveling with her family. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Farrow (Joy) of Goodyear, AZ and Andrew Farrow (Sandra) of Anderson, SC; daughters, Faye Strickland and Dianna Barnes (Tim) both of Anderson, SC; sister, Shirley McCannon of Elberton, GA; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Friday, April 23, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. John Davis officiating. Mrs. Farrow will be placed in the church at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
