She lived an amazing 90 years.Born in Hart County, Georgia to the late John and Eugenia Rogers, she was known for being a hard worker ' she had worked at Appleton Mill for 31 years, and after retiring from there, continued working with her husband on the family farm. Mrs. Ledford was also a great cook and a wonderful host for those who visited her home. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church for 70 years and demonstrated living a Christian life to everyone. The heavens have gained a truly amazing woman on this day. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.Mrs. Ledford was a loving and wonderful mother to Patsy and Tommy Osborne, Nancy and Ken Stone and Amanda and Ed Dortch. She was blessed with six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also richly blessed with a faithful sitter, Malinda McAbee. She is survived by three brothers, Robert Rogers, Billy Rogers and Glenn Rogers, and three sisters, Virginia Cain, Betty Ables and Myra Hare.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ledford is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Will Ed Ledford, to whom she was a very loving and loyal wife.The Graveside Service will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Kyle Caudell officiating.The family will be at the home and will receive friends on Sunday, April 24, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at The McDougald Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.A message of condolence may be sent by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com.THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
