VERNON BOLT Willie Vernon Bolt, Sr., age 85, of the New Prospect Community, entered his Heavenly Home upon his death at AnMed Health Medical Center on Thursday, March 19, 2015. Born in Anderson, SC on May 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Wade Alex Bolt and the late Christine Creamer Bolt. Mr. Bolt was a graduate of Anderson Boy's High School, Class of 1946. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Vernon was a retired landscaper, having been employed for over 20 years with S. K. Busby Nursery. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Michael Ray Bolt of Greenville; three daughters, Debbie Nuessle and husband, Vic, of Deerfield, FL, Vicki Redmond and husband, Gary, of Anderson, and Becky Browning and husband, Randy of Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Betty Boggs of Anderson; also surviving are eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Bolt was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, the late Dorothy Johnson Bolt who died in 2011; a son Vernon Bolt, Jr. and a brother, Henry Bolt. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Vernon Bolt will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the New Prospect Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at New Prospect Baptist Church on Sunday, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mr. Bolt may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
