ANDERSON, SC'Mr. Vernon Ned Wentzky, Sr., age 78, husband of Jonelle White Wentzky of 101 Mary Beth Drive, Anderson, SC died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Hospice of the Upstate.Born in Anderson, SC on November 14, 1927 Mr. Wentzky was a son of the late William Wentzky, Sr. and the late Sadie Webb Wentzky. He retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Wentzky was also a member of Varennes Presbyterian Church where he was a former Elder and Church Treasurer.Mr. Wentzky is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jonelle Wentzky of the home; a son, Vernon Ned Wentzky, Jr. of Anderson; four daughters, Ronda W. Mitchell of Starr, Donna W. McCollum, Mary W. Jahn, and Beth W. Reece all of Anderson; three brothers, Robert Wentzky, Lorton Wentzky, and Frank Wentzky all of Anderson; and fourteen grandchildren, Bryan Wentzky, Chad Wentzky, Bret Brown, Jr., Katie Prescott, Andrew Prescott, Ali Prescott, Becca Prescott, Kristopher Ward, Evan Ward, Joanna Ward, Jo Jahn, J.R. Jahn, Phillip Reece, and Eli Reece.In addition to his parents, Mr. Wentzky was preceded in death by four brothers, William Wentzky, Jr., Paul Wentzky, Hubert Wentzky, and Larry Wentzky; and a sister, Molly Greer.The family will be at the home of Judson and Mary Jahn, 102 Alene Hills Way, Anderson, SC.
