Vickie Sue Hayes Chambers, age 70, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born October 23, 1954, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Leon Claude Hayes and Zettie Mae Arnold Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Steve Hayes and brother-in-law, Billy Gambrell.

She was a homemaker and a member of Turning Point Church of God. Vickie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her kind heart and for always being a caregiver to those around her. Vickie loved reading and spending time with her family, whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by the love of her life and husband of nearly 53 years, Roy Bruce Chambers; daughters, Crystal Tolbert (Kevin) and Lori Gambrell (Chris); sisters, Elaine Gambrell and Sheila Hawkins (Jerry) and six grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 11:30 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Tommy Suttles officiating. The family will have a small gathering at the cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center, or kidney dialysis center of your choice.
