MAXWELL March 28, 1928 - February 14, 2011IVA, SCVincent Horace Maxwell, age 82, of 24 E. Central Avenue, Iva, husband of the late Martha Maxine Crittendon Maxwell, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Abbeville County, SC on March 28, 1928, Mr. Maxwell was the son of the late Zenith David Maxwell and Mamie Malydia Lowe Maxwell. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and retired from Daniel Construction Company. He attended Iva First Wesleyan Church.Survivors include his son, Ken Maxwell; daughters, Vicki Eaton and her husband, Pete; Gail Barrett and her husband John, all of Iva and Debbie Hardy and her husband Doyle of Starr; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediately family and was predeceased by a grandson, Dusty Maxwell.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Iva First Wesleyan Church officiated by the Reverends Dan Fortney, Steve Silvey and Gary Bill. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery.Mr. Maxwell will be taken to his residence on Wednesday at 11:00 am where the family will receive friends.
