Born June 20, 1922, in South Charleston, WV, she lived in her beloved 'Almost Heaven' for most of her life until a stroke in 1996 sent her to Anderson to be closer to family. She is survived by her daughter, Rosalie (Bradford) Gwinn of Winter Park, FL; and by son Everette (Beverly) Newman of Anderson, SC. She was the beloved grandmother of Brad (Cheri) Gwinn of Raleigh, NC, Derek (Claudine) Gwinn of Winter Park, FL, and Carter (Ben) Graves of Spartanburg, SC. Her great-grandchildren are Kelsey Gwinn, Raleigh, NC; Jordan and Jack Gwinn, Winter Park, FL; and Houston and Gibson Graves, Spartanburg. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Gaye Gwinn Sims of Atlanta, GA; and by her fianc', George Byers of Charleston, WV. Because of the current bad weather, the family will have a memorial service in South Charleston at a later date to be announced.
