Leary, died Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at the NHC HealthCare in Anderson, SC.Born in Marietta, OH on September 25, 1916, Mrs. Leary was a daughter of the late John Henry Welch and Lenna Moore Welch. She was a graduate of Anderson High School in Anderson, IN and was retired from the Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford, CT. She attended New Covenant Presbyterian Church and was a longstanding member of First Church, Congregational, Windsor, CT. Survivors include a son, Stephen Orin Leary and his wife, Carol Leary of Simpsonville, SC; a daughter, Janet Woody and her husband, Allan Woody of Belton, SC; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Leary of Eagle River, Alaska; a sister, Drina Welch Abel of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Hunter and her husband, Jeb Hunter of Simpsonville, SC, Benjamin Woody of Fort Mill, SC, Kimberly Leary and her husband, Brandon Wood of Juneau, Alaska, Katelyn Leary and Kyle Leary, both of Eagle River, Alaska.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Leary and two brothers, Orin Welch and Gomer Welch.A graveside service will be held at Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Windsor, CT on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 11:00 am by the Reverend Richard Huleatt.
