Virgie Lollis Getsinger, 93, of Belton, SC, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019. Born May 4, 1926 in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late William Wister Lollis and Sallie Mae Moore Lollis. She was married to the late Fred B. Getsinger. Virgie worked in textile having worked many years for Abney Mill in Belton and also for Park Davis Company in Honea Path. She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by daughter Darlene Hamby and her husband Tommy of Anderson; sister Nannette L. Cox of Greenville; five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by children, Sandra Keown, Ronnie "Rocky" Getsinger, Pamela Getsinger and Freddie Getsinger; brothers, William Lurie Lollis, Alvin Lollis and Roy Lollis; and sisters, Vera Buffington, Pauline Cooley, Eupha Kay, Rosie Cheek and Lois Lollis. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be in the chapel Thursday, August 29th at 2pm with Rev. Jacky Gary and Rev. Richard Busha officiating.
