Virginia Ruth Cassada, age 77, wife of the late William Berkley Cassada, Jr., died Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Hewlett Richey and Jana Ruth Stewart Richey and was a graduate of Lebanon High School, class of 1952. She retired from Cassada's Inc., and was a member of Orrville Methodist Church. Mrs. Cassada was also a choir member; a Sunday school teacher in the Children's Department as long as her health permitted; a member of the Women's Auxiliary and the 3T's Ladies Group.She is survived by her children, Cynthia Carol Davis and her husband Roger Dale Davis of Anderson; Sharon CecileCassada of Pendleton and William Berkley Cassada III of Anderson; her grandchildren: William Roger Davis, Cynthia Jeffcoat, Carol Ann Tindall, Bobby Dale Davis, Charles Berkley Cassada, Joseph E. Krause, Robert Berkley Krause and William Berkley Cassada IV; sisters; Amy Werts, Linda Riddle, Joyce Ashley and Bobbie Holt and 6 great-grandchildrenIn addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Doris Ellison and a brother, James Richey.The Funeral Service will be Monday, October 24, 2011, at 2:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Upson officiating. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery. Following the committal service, the family will be returning to The McDougald Family Center to greet friends and family.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2011, from 5 pm until 7 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
