Virginia L. Chambers, age 94, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late James Steve Chambers, Jr., passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at NHC Healthcare Anderson. Born August 8, 1928, in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Wesley Cooper and Melba Clarice Timms Cooper. She retired from textiles after 46 faithful years of service. Virginia loved fishing, the Atlanta Braves, and reading. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, James Dennis White (Carol); daughters, Janice Lee Corn (Darrell), and Virginia Sue King (Michael) both of Anderson, SC, and Bobbie Faye Brown of Hartwell, GA; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Cooper; sisters, Durean Dyar, and Hazel Ballard; sons, Jack G. White, and Horace H. White; and daughter, Annette Whitefield. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Michael King officiating.
