Virginia Bell Hayes Anderson, SC Virginia Bell Hayes, age 70, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on August 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. Hayes and the late Eula Bell Simmons Hayes. She was a loving mother and grandmother, being survived by her children, Donna Marie Patterson, Donald Ray Duhon and Toni Louise Duhon; brothers, Richard, Tony, Edgar and Roy Hayes; a sister, Juanita Saxon; and grandchildren, Travis James Patterson, Shannon Nakisha Patterson and Zachary Tyler Patterson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Wayne Hayes and a son, Johnny Mac Patterson. The Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
