Virginia Toney "Jean" Hill, age 84, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Thomas J. Hill, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 19, 1938, in Anderson Co., SC, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Toney and Amber Lee Goodwin Toney. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Belmont Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by her sons, Greg Gilbert (Linda), and Thomas L. Hill (Bettsy) both of Starr, SC; sisters, Ruth Wardlaw and Louise Farmer, both of Anderson, SC; half-sister, Sue Miller of NC; half-brothers, Charlie Toney of NC, and Mack Toney of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Thomas and Jonathan Hill; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Nathan, Abby, and Hazel Hill. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Beasley and Mattie Lou Capps; and brothers, Jerry and Thomas Toney. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Alan Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes. Flowers will be accepted.
