O'MELIADECEMBER 1, 1913 - April 19, 2009CHAPIN, SC ' Virginia Parker O'Melia, age95, of 152 Kerry Gibbons Drive, went to live with Jesus on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the home of her granddaughter, Wendie Orr Suoboda.Born in Seneca, SC on December 1, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Edward Munson Parker and Emily Kersey Parker. For many years she worked at Fort Jackson as a Civil Service Employee in the Pathology Department Mrs. O'Melia was a charter member of the Carpenter's Church. She was a loving person who cared deeply for her family.Survivors include her daughter, Mary Patricia Orr of Irmo, SC; five grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Charles 'Rex' O'Melia; three sisters; and four brothers.A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted by her nephew, the Reverend Larry R. Parker.
