VIRGINIA ANNE SIMPSON July 11, 1936 - February 6, 2013 IVA, SC Virginia Anne Simpson, age 76, of 408 West Green Street, Iva, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her residence. Born in Anderson, SC she was the daughter of the late Marvin Crittendon and the late Lucille Latham Crittendon McMahan. Throughout her career she was the manager of several fabric stores in Anderson. She was a member and former organist of Iva Wesleyan Church. She attended Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Evans Daniel Simpson; daughters, Sharon Simpson Hooper and her husband Tommy of Iva, SC and Lydia Simpson Parnell and her husband Benny of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren, Daniel Powell and his wife Aleesha, Heath Powell and his wife Kandis, Lydia Anne McClain and Benjamin Parnell; and eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Coby, Luke, Ethan, Andrew, Max, Jacob, and Caleb. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Maxwell and Jerri Duckett. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 3:15 PM until 3:45 PM at Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church. The Funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Reverend Hudson White officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
