OBITUARY Virginia Crump SmithDecember 20, 1937 - September 27, 2008Virginia Crump Smith, age 70, of Anderson, wife of the late Kenneth Leon Smith went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 27, 2008. Born in Hartwell, GA on December 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey Crump, Sr. and Amy Lois Bailey Crump. She was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.She is survived by her children Vickie S. Gable and her husband Glenn, Ricky Smith and his wife Lisa, Sonja Smith and Regina Smith all of Anderson. She is also survived by a brother Hugh Dorsey Crump Jr. of Anderson, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Randall 'Randy' Smith.A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverends Larry Cox, Garrett Hart and Mike Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 3:00pm until 5:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Crystal Hart 1327 Middleton Road, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
