Vivian Carolyn Latham McAlister, age 93, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 12, 1925 in Iva, SC she was a daughter of the late Donnie Martin and Pearl Loftis Latham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Furman McAlister; daughter Cathy Phillips; Brother, Don Latham and sister, Lounelle Anderson. She was the oldest surviving member of Orrville United Methodist Church until its closure in 2012. Vivian is survived by her son, Tony McAlister and his wife Phyllis of Belton, SC; son-in-law, Donnie Phillips of Starr, SC; brother, Fent Latham of Cary, NC; three grandchildren, Jason Phillips (Betsy), Ashley Phillips Rutledge (Bill) and Erin Patterson (Jeremy), seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The memorial service will be at 11am Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
