Phillips of 1111 Old Denver School Road, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at her residence.Born in Honea Path, SC, she was a daughter of the late Radney D. Hall and Lillie Mae Powell Hall. Mrs. Phillips was retired from WestPoint Stevens in Clemson and was a member of the Woodman of the World. She was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, attended the Joy Sunday School class and served on the Benevolence Committee. She was also involved in the Home-Bound Ministries of the church.In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by her children; Jean Dickson and her husband Wayne of Sandy Springs, Marilyn Sue Rankin and her husband, Doug of Huntsville, AL and Tommy R. Black of Anderson; step-son, Danny Phillips and his wife, Brenda of Honea Path; brother, Harrison Hall and his wife, Yvonne of Honea Path; sisters, Mary Frances Reid and her husband, Bob of Anderson and Gladys Smith of Easley; six grandchildren, Greg Dickson and his wife, Stacey, Andy Dickson and his wife, Shanna, Ashliah, Antonia and Carly Rankin and Adam Black; nine great-grandchildren, Cordell, Alison, Dane, Kiera and Jacob Dickson, Cody Wyatt, Taylor and Tyler Rankin and Lee Jay Newland; two step-grandchildren, Daniel and Drew Phillips.She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph 'Poker' Black.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with the Reverends Danny Gray, Sonny White and Bobby Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
