Voniver "Von" Sidney Kelly, age 80, of Anderson, entered his Heavenly Home on Saturday, November 26, 2016, upon his death at AnMed Health Medical Center. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born in Belton, SC on November 9, 1936, the son of the late Don W. Kelly and the late B. Irene Alexander Kelly. He was married on June 25, 1955, to his high school sweetheart, Georgette Carlton, his wife of over 61 years. Following his graduation from Belton High School, he proudly served his country in the Army National Guard where he obtained the rank of Master Sergeant E-8. He worked in Sales Management retiring from Sears after twenty-five years of service. Von also worked in real estate sales. Mr. Kelly loved people and for the last six years enjoyed working at Publix on Highway 81, Anderson, until the time of his death. In addition to his wife, Georgette Carlton Kelly of the home, Voniver is survived by three daughters, Vonette K. Dickson and her husband Terry, of St. Simons Island, GA, Miriam K. Bolt and her husband, Dennis, of Anderson, and Donna K. Radford and her husband Kyle, of Asheville, NC; one brother, Devant Kelly and his wife, Carolyn, of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Maxine Carter of Belton and Janice Rice of Belton; six grandchildren, Jessica D. Malone, Michael Bolt, Matthew Bolt, Ryan Radford, Kory Radford, and Tyler Radford; eight great-grandchildren, Brayden, Madeline and Mckenzie Bolt, Kaegan, Kirsten, Kaylee, and Taylor Radford, and Benjamin Malone. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mr. Voniver Kelly will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Reverend Dr. Ronald Q. Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
