ANDERSON, SC'Mr. Wade Earl Davis, age 86, former resident of The Garden House in Anderson, died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Hospice of the Upstate.Mr. Davis was born in Anderson: son of the late Calvin L. Davis and Rachel Hefner Davis Parris. As a young man, he worked at Gluck Mill and entered military service in 1937, retiring in 1967 at the rank of M/Sgt., USAF. Sgt. Davis served as recruiting officer in Anderson from 1951 to 1954. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Anderson ward, where he served in many offices of the church including counselor to the Bishop. He also served as a Hospice of the Upstate volunteer for several years.He is survived by two sons Kenneth B. Davis and wife Ellen P. Davis and Richard W. Davis and wife Betty J. Davis; three grandchildren, Marsha Davis Willis, Kevin B. Davis, and Mark K. Davis; and two great-grandchildren all of Anderson; and sister Evelyn Davis Toone of Orem, Utah.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ellen Peace Davis, brothers Talmadge Davis and Parks Davis, and sister Mildred Davis.
