He was the husband of Janice Butler Adams Latham and a longtime member of Iva First Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy veteran in the Korean War and was a member of the Iva American Legion Post #0044. Mr. Latham was a graduate of Iva High School, class of 1950 and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with 33 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Jan Latham of the home; children: Echoles Latham and Patti of Plum Branch; Clinton Adams and Tonya of Pelzer; Tena A. Burriss and George of Iva; Tonda A. Powell and Roscoe of Iva; grandchildren: Kalen Latham of Abbeville, Mallory Latham of Greenville, Keith Burriss and Tonya of Iva; Sonya Adams of Parkersburg, West Virginia; Travis Burriss and Pattie of Iva; Gabriel Adams and Rhonda of Iva; Jody Powell and Kerri of Iva; Janna Garner and Mark of Belton; Allison Adams of Anderson, Clay Adams and Brittany of Williamston, Caleb Adams of Pelzer; great-grandchildren: Noel Foster and J. T., Kindra and Kelsie Burriss; Christine and Easton McCullum, Taylor, Carlee and Gracie Burriss, Ashlee and Braden Adams; Luke, Logan and Landon Powell, Oakley Webb, Haley and Emma Garner, Graelyn Adams, Colten, Kaylee and Rilee Eley, Ragen and Christa Adams; great-great-grandchildren: Cloie and Carsen Foster.He was preceded in death by his brother, Wyman L. Latham.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 3:30 pm at Iva First Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Jerry Gray and Reverend Roger Estridge. He will be laid to rest in Iva City Cemetery.
