Wallace F. Davis, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in LaFrance, SC on April 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Marvin F. Davis and the late Sally Chapman Davis. He was a graduate of Boys High. Wallace was employed with the Anderson County Sheriff's Department having worked under several sheriff's during his tenure. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for more than 25 years. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Oleen Davis; nephews, Randall Davis and his wife Susan, and Michael Davis; a niece, Janet LaCroy; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Davis; an infant sister, Lucille Davis; a sister, Gladys Davis; and a brother, Marion Davis. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ray Grant and Reverend Mark Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery.
