Walter Harrison, age 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born December 17, 1936, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Clifford Smith and Norma Floyd Harrison; Lula Brown Harrison. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gail H. Hix.

Walter served in the Airforce and retired from Upstate Automotive Group. He also enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Carol Strickland Harrison; sons, Wendell Shane Harrison of Atlanta, GA, Clifford Dane Harrison of Pendleton, SC; sister, Nancy H. Skinner; three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00-10:45 am at Lebanon Baptist Church. The service will begin at 11:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Baptist Church 5150 Gentry Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
