Walter Daniel McTier, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Southpointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Born September 24, 1945, in Charleston, SC, he was the son of the late Harry McTier and Velma Courson McTier.

Walter was a passionate architect and owner of McTier & Associates. He was also an avid fisherman. He truly loved and cared about the needs of others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Brown McTier; sons, Kevin C. McTier (Amy) of Charlotte, NC, and Daniel Todd McTier of Macon, GA; step-sons, Jonathan Brown (Jessica) of Anderson, SC and Shawn Pressley (Tara) of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Jimmy McTier (Janis) of Milledgeville, GA, and Russell McTier (Jan) of Ellijay, GA; sister, Susan Ables (Terry) Warner Robbins, GA; three grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
