WALTER HERMAN MOOREMay 18, 1930 - June 19, 2009ANDERSON, SCWalter Herman Moore, age 79, of Anderson, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Elbert County, GA on May 18, 1930, Mr. Moore was a son of the late John Moore and Elizabeth Owens Moore. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elberton, GA. He was a former sales representative with The Electrolux Company and was a former supervisor at Wellington Mill in Anderson. He was also a supervisor at Owens-Corning Fiberglas where he retired after fifteen years of service.Surviving are three daughters, Felicia Burdette and her husband Jelon 'Stoney' Stone of Anderson, Modina Hall and her husband Donald of Starr, and Tina Norwood and her husband Derrick of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Merritt Moore of Duluth, GA; three sisters, Carol Johnson, of Anderson, SC, Linda Vaught of Tulsa, OK, and Sue McMullan of Kennesaw, GA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Alman, Ralph, Hoyt, Floyd and George Moore and six sisters, Edna Bottian, Flora Vickery, Eula Craft, Gladys Smith, Eunice McHaffie and Elease Prince.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Lawrence Johnson. Interment will follow in Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in Elberton, GA.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his daughter, Felicia Burdette, 300 Pennell Road, Anderson, SC.Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Upstate 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, 711 Glenn Street, Anderson, SC 29625.THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
