Nation, Sr., age 97, husband of Mary Kathleen Williams Nation of 105 New Street, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Abbeville Nursing Home.Born in Pickens County, SC on December 22, 1909, Mr. Nation was a son of the late Millard Nation and Ada Ellenburg Nation. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his children: Jack Nation of Pendleton; daughter, Mary Nation Taylor of Anderson; Walter B. Nation, Jr., of Williamston and Patricia Williams of Sandy Springs; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lonie Mae Sargent Nation; sons, James Nation and Leroy Nation; brothers, Winfred Nation, R. B. Nation and John Fulton Nation and sister, Luena Nation Smith.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11:00 am at Six & Twenty Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Ray Grant officiating.
