WALT SEAWRIGHT January 11, 1933 - March 20, 2007PELZER, SCMr. Walter Truman Seawright, age 74 of 204 Old River Road, Pelzer, SC and husband of Betty Durham Seawright, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.Born in Piedmont, SC on January 11, 1933, Mr. Seawright was a son of the late Robert Newton Seawright and Grace Shirley Seawright. He was retired from the United States navy as a Chief Aviation Ordinanceman after 20 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5996 and was of the Christian Faith.Survivors include his wife, Betty Durham Seawright of the home; daughters, Sandy Farrow of Johnson City, TN, Rosie Cannon of Sanford, FL and Janet Mead of Belmont, NC; sisters, Ollie Ruth Henderson of Greer, SC and Sarah Davis of Easley, SC. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, J.N. Seawright, Frank Seawright and Charles Seawright and two sisters, Frances Reid and Mary Woodcock.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2006 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Alan Rhodes and Barry Manley. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Military Honors.
