Walter S. Westberry Anderson, SC Walter S. Westberry, husband of Sue Lane Westberry, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Metter, GA, on October 25, 1939, he was the son of the late Harvey and Ruby Cox Westberry. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Walter was a member of the Anderson Yorkrite Bodies, Hiram Masonic Lodge #68, Anderson Chapter #130 OES and of Pleasant View Baptist Church. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Joseph Westberry, a daughter, Julianne Westberry, three granddaughters, Ashley Westberry Bowen, Cynthia Westberry Capps and Brittany Westberry; and two brothers and one sister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Glenn Taylor and Reverend Thomas Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
