WAYNE BLEVINS July 3, 1950 - December 5, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Wayne Austin Blevins, age 62, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late John Charles Blevins and the late Rebecca Lawrence Blevins. He graduated from Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA and began his career in the United States Navy, where he retired. He later worked for the Anderson Library System and volunteered at Senior Solutions. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Stephen Blevins and his wife Lisa of Ocean Springs, MS; a daughter-in-law, Sonya Blevins of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, John C. Blevins of Atlanta; a sister, Barbara Martin of Atlanta, GA; and a grandchild, Thomas Austin Blevins of Simpsonville, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Thomas Blevins and his son, Wayne Austin Blevins, Jr. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Research Institute, One Exchange Plaza, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006.
