Wayne A. Henry, age 78, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born April 10, 1945, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late William F. Henry and Ethel Gross Henry. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Henry.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country for 4 years. He was the owner and operator of Wayne's Overhead Doors that was established in 1975. His favorite pastime was traveling for hunting and fishing expeditions to Alaska, Costa Rica, Canada and Charleston where he enjoyed offshore fishing. Most of all Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends, which brought him the most joy. He was a member of Bells United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Turner Henry; son, Brian Henry (Karmen) of Iva, SC; daughter, Lisa Yokeum (Matt) of Belton, SC; sister, Donna Henry Ward (Roger) of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Marc Henry (Hanna) of Iva, SC, Jonathan Henry (Griffin) of Iva, SC, Chase Seawright of Iva, SC, Cayden Seawright of Iva, SC, Megan Yokeum (Reid Quales) of Belton, SC, and Austin Yokeum of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and great grandchildren, Colin Henry and Preston Quales.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
