Ronald Wayne Loftis, age 63, of Starr, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born February 8, 1959, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late J.T. Loftis and Mary Reed Loftis. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Daniel, and Tommy Loftis; and sister, Judy Loftis. Wayne was a jack of all trades who could fix anything and if he didn't know how to fix it, he would somehow figure it out. He was a history buff and loved cars. Wayne had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved his children and grandchildren immensely; they were his world. He is survived by his girlfriend, Betty Saxon; son, Travis Wayne Loftis; daughter, Tabitha Loftis Kanea; brothers, J.T., Jr., Roger, Claude, and Ronnie Loftis; sisters, Nancy Evans and Barbra Nichols; and grandchildren, Mason and Ava Loftis. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Ken Whitt officiating.
