W.C. Hart Anderson, SC W.C. Charles Hart, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, SC, on July 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Marcus Eugene Hart and the late Verenna Kelley Hart. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from True Temper after many years of service. W.C. was also a farmer. He was a member of Orrville Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, of 58 years, Earlie Rhodes Hart; a daughter, Tammy Ables and her husband Tony, of Anderson, SC; brothers, Millard Hart and Franklin Hart and his wife Ruth, all of Anderson, SC; sisters, Ethel McCoy, of Honea Path, SC and Sara Pearson, of Belton, SC; four grandchildren, Felicia Rodabaugh and her husband Chris, Vanessa Cantrell and her husband Scott, Josh Ables, and Brooke Finley; four great-grandchildren, Justin Oakley, Caleb and AnnMaria Cantrell, and Tyson Finley; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, R.L., David, Louie, Julian and James Hart; and two sisters, Catherine Pearson and Rosa Lee Hart. The Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Wendell Bannister and Reverend Tab Scarborough officiating. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Tammy Ables and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, prior to the service on Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Flowers are optional.
