Wesley Clinton Dyar, age 67, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born June 19, 1958, in the Richland Community of Oconee County, SC, he was the only child of the late Clinton Hugh Dyar and Audrey Shedd Dyar. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Evan Kinley; and in-laws, Thaddeus R. Arnold, Jr. and Emily McCallum Arnold.
Wes was a graduate of Seneca High School Class of 1976 and a graduate of Greenville Technical College. He was formerly employed with Engelhard Corp and retired from Cryovac in Seneca. He was a Spirit-filled believer of Christ Jesus. He grew up in Rock Springs United Methodist Church in Richland and served as a Lay Speaker. As a committed follower of Christ Jesus he lived every aspect of his life to glorify his Lord and Savior. Wes used his knowledge and expertise in the areas of building and grounds maintenance, carpentry and common sense engineering to continually give glory to the Lord and love His people. Wes enjoyed communing with the Lord while fishing, woodworking, tinkering and creating in his shop and was happiest while on his tractor.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Susan Arnold Dyar; children, Leslie Gifford and her husband Rick, Ashley Ragle and her husband Chad, Bruce Spigener and his wife Amanda, and Shuler Spigener and his wife Kate; and grandchildren, Blake Ragle and his wife Emily, Bryce and Blaine Ragle, Caitlyn Edwards and her husband Noah, Easton and Eli Spigener, Sullivan and Camille Spigener.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 2:30-3:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Rodney Howard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Look Up Lodge, c/o Tracey's Camp, 2031 Crooked Pine Trail, Pinewood, SC 29125, or the Salvation Army, PO Box 43, Anderson, SC 29622.
The family will be at the residence.
