Campbell Veterans Nursing Home, Anderson, SC, formerly of 2511 Fleming Drive, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Carnesville, GA on February 3, 1914, Mr. Hinkle was the son of the late George W. Hinkle and Bertha Buffington Hinkle. He was retired from White Construction Company and was a United States Navy World War II veteran. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Anderson Ward.Survivors include a daughter, Shelby Jean Hawkins of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace D. Hinkle.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Bishop Harold Dial. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson with Military Honors.
