MILLERSEPTEMBER 12, 1918 - June 28, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' William 'Bill' Albert Miller, age 90, resident of 1050 Cove Circle, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 12, 1918, he was the son of the late William Morrison Miller and Therese Rilliet Miller. Mr. Miller graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He was a captain in the United States Air Force, having served as a B-24 pilot in the European Theater during World War II and being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, 7 Bronze Stars for Campaigns and the Air Medal of the 15th Air Force. Mr. Miller spent most of his working career as an executive in South America with The Singer Company, Westinghouse Air Brake Company and Booz Allen Hamilton, among others. Mr. Miller retired to Anderson in 1992 and was a member of the Golden-K Kiwanis Club of Anderson and a golf enthusiast who loved playing and being a member of the Anderson Country Club. He was a member of Roberts Presbyterian Church.Survivors include his wife, Ann Hamacheck Miller of the home; children: a son, Peter M. Miller and wife, Julia M. Whitehead of New York, New York; a daughter, Susan G. Miller of Dover, Delaware; and three grandchildren: Pearson W. Miller, Katherine D. Miller, and Malcolm T. Miller.A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 18th, at Roberts Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Martin L.
