William Raymond "Butch" Atkins, age 70, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at his residence. Born January 26, 1952, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Eddie Ray Atkins and Eula Owen Atkins. Butch proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard and worked at Boscobel Golf Club. He is survived by his two daughters, Heather A. Swords (Andy) of Liberty, SC, and Haley Eidson of Pendleton, SC; three grandchildren, Nathan Swords (Kasey) of Liberty, SC, Emileigh Swords of Liberty, SC, and Maddison Eidson of Pendleton, SC; and two great-grandchildren, Scout, and Hudson Swords. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Pendleton Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Royce Addis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way A, Greenville, SC 29615, or to the Alzheimer's Association Upstate SC Chapter, 123 W.
