GENTRY May 30, 1920 - November 10, 2009ANDERSON, SCWilliam James 'Billy' Gentry, age 89, of 1416 P & N Drive, husband of the late Janie Lee Whitaker Gentry, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on May 30, 1920, Mr. Gentry was a son of the late Clayton Parker Gentry and Julia Feltman Gentry. He was a United States Army World War II veteran having served with the 10th Mountain Infantry. He retired from LaFrance Mill and was a member of the River of Life Church of God.Survivors include his sons, Douglas Ray Gentry and Bruce Gentry and his wife, Susan and two grandchildren, Dustin Gentry and Brant Gentry, all of Anderson.In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Archie and Floyd Gentry and sister, Marie Whitfield.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 10:30 am at River of Life Church of God officiated by the Reverend Ken Anderson and Chaplain Garnet Hanley. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors by the Campbell Patriots Post #184.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mr. Gentry will be placed in the church at 9:30 am on Friday.The family will be at the home of his son, Bruce Gentry, 826 Sharonwood Drive, Anderson, SC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Richard M.
