William A. Graves, IV, age 69, of Townville, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 6, 2022, with his wife at his side. Born February 25, 1952, in Augusta, GA, he was the son of Frances LaVane Howard Graves and the late William Alexander Graves, III. Rusty was the owner of Floppy's Spirits and enjoyed building and remodeling. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 4 years, Sandra Lynn Chappelear; stepchildren, Collin Hodges, and Alisha Robinson (Jeremy) both of Anderson; step-granddaughter, Isabella Grace Robinson; special mention daughter he never had, Savannah Madson Brown (Quinton); brothers, Mike Graves (Gloria) of St. Augustine, FL, and Harry Graves (Patti) of Macon, GA; sister, Lauri G. Sledge (Joe) of Macon, GA; and many nieces and nephews. A cryptside service will be held, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Harry Graves officiating. Mr. Graves will lie in-state beginning at noon, Friday, February 11, 2022, through Saturday, February 12th at noon at The McDougald Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted and memorial contributions may be made to Anderson Free Clinic, 414 N. Fant St., Anderson, SC 29621 and Affinity Hospice, 115 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, SC 29625.
