William David Jarrard, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on May 3, 1943, he was the son of the late Eugene Francis Jarrard and the late Emma Jane Cape Jarrard. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy serving aboard the USS James C. Owens DD776. David's career as a sheet metal mechanic spanned 38 years, retiring from Jennings Dill. He is survived by his sister, Jane Winters, of Madison, TN: two children, Danny Neal and his wife Juanita and Lynn Medlin and her husband Lamar, all of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Adams Jarrard; and two brothers, Douglas and Richard Jarrard. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Military Honors.
