ANDERSON, SC'William Lura Lollis, age 82, widower of Gertrude Devall Lollis, of 4 Harris Street, Anderson, SC died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born on April 11, 1923 in Anderson County, Mr. Lollis was the son of the late William Wister Lollis and the late Sallie Mae Moore Lollis. Mr. Lollis served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lollis is survived by two sons, Jackie and Jimmy Lollis both of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Janice Walters of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Virgie Getsinger of Belton, SC and Nannette Cox of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Lollis was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lollis.The family is at their respective homes.
